Texto 4
The learner’s emotional state can interfere with acquiring a new language because it involves public practice and speaking in front of others. These skills require that the learner take a risk. This risk can produce embarrassment and anxiety that can block the learner’s ability to process new information. To counteract students’ emotional state, classroom teachers can create an effective learning environment that helps them integrate into the life of the school. They can provide a classroom experience that is nonthreatening and demonstrate to their students that they understand their needs. The key is to make learners feel welcome and comfortable so that their emotions do not impede their learning.
