Instruction: answer questions 36 to 40 based on the following text.

The Natural History Museum’s new star attraction

  1. In spring, the Natural History Museum in London will display the skeleton of a titanosaur,
  2. a creature so vast it will have to be placed into the 9-meter-high Waterhouse gallery. One of the
  3. most massive creatures ever to have walked on Earth, Patagotitan mayorum was a 57-tonne
  4. behemoth that would have shaken the ground as it stomped over homelands that now form
  5. modern Patagonia. Its skeleton is 37 meters long, and 5 meters in height – significantly larger
  6. than the museum’s most famous dinosaur, Dippy the diplodocus, which used to loom over its main
  7. gallery.
  8. The remains of Patagotitan mayorum were uncovered in 2010 when a ranch owner in
  9. Patagonia came across a gigantic thigh bone sticking out of the ground. Argentinian fossil experts
  10. later dug up more than 200 pieces of skeleton, the remains of at least six individual animals. Casts
  11. have been made of these bones by the Museo Paleontológico Egidio Feruglio in Trelew, Patagonia,
  12. and these form the skeleton that will go on display in London in March.
  13. Patagotitan mayorum lived about 100 million years ago, during the late Cretaceous period,
  14. near the end of the dinosaurs’ reign on Earth. It was one of the three or four biggest species of
  15. titanosaur now known to science. These creatures were built like suspension bridges with a huge
  16. spine, a vast neck for gathering food from trees, and a tail to provide balance. “They were
  17. herbivores that gobbled up plants and leaves and fermented them in their vast stomachs,
  18. producing huge amounts of methane as a byproduct – so you would not want to hang around the
  19. back end of one of these animals,” said museum dinosaur expert Prof Paul Barrett.
  20. Several mysteries still surround Patagotitan mayorum, however. “You find remains of big
  21. dinosaurs in many places but in Patagonia you get ones that are absolutely massive, like
  22. titanosaurs,” Barrett said. “So was there something special about the ecology of the region at this
  23. time or have we just been unlucky so far in not finding titanosaur remains elsewhere?” It is also
  24. not clear why the six animals died so close together. “They were all almost fully grown and died
  25. at the same site,” said Sinead Marron, the exhibition’s lead curator. “But why? What could have
  26. done that? It is not clear, though the mystery gives an extra dimension to the story of these
  27. wonderful animals.”

Analyse the statements below about the article and mark T, if true, or F, if false.

( ) Patagotitan mayorum will not be displayed in the usual room in the Natural History Museum because its skeleton does not fit in that space.

( ) Professor Paul Barrett affirms that you can only find skeletons of big dinosaurs in Patagonia.

( ) Scientists believe the 200 pieces of skeletons found do NOT belong to just one Patagotitan. They think there were six or more of them in that location.

( ) Patagotitan mayorum is the largest dinosaur known to have walked on Earth.
