Is summer the best season of the year?

1. Summer is amazing!!!!♡♡♡ Summer is amazing!!!!♥♥♥ Summer is awesome because there is no school!!!!!! Its warm outside and you can play lots more sports then in the winter (soccer, basketball, tennis, swimming ect.). You can go biking with your friends. In the summer you don't have to worry about wearing a jacket, snowpants, mittens, hat, boots etc. You put on shoes and walk outside. And what's better then going swimming on a hot day and eating ice-cream? Plus, you don't have to worry about homework.♡

2. It's great, but is not as good as fall. Summer is known as the season of warm temps, cold drinks, grills and recreation. Oops. Almost forgot about No school.... And beaches. Can't forget beaches. But fall is just as good, if not more so. Beautiful leaves, perfect 55 to 75 degree temperatures, Halloween, the holiday season, and of course - food. In one season you can go from the grills of summer to the homemade pastries and apple cider of October to the turkey and mashed potatoes of November to the Egg Nog, hot Cocoa and Christmas cookies of December. The 'winter wonderland ' holiday season goes from Thanksgiving till New Years, and about 3/4 of that is in fall. Fall is the season of school friends getting to see each other again, family coming closer together, and eating great food with Christmas planning all at once. It's totally awesome and slightly edges out summer as best season.

3. I do not enjoy 'heat' and constant sunshine except for the purpose of growing vegetables and fruits, seeing other plants grow beautifully, heating up water bottles in the sunshine to shower, allowing my skin to receive some sunshine for vitamin D and not using artificial heating. I detest heat inside the house in the winter and like to keep it cooler than others want. I personally do not buy into this popular belief about living in the hotter climates as more pleasant due to 'harsh' winter weather of the north. We all know Texas is oppressively hot in their summer and people hibernate then, if they can. There is nothing you can do to improve working outside in Florida in the summer except hoping to escape the midday oven temperatures. The sun is oppressive and I just want to escape inside and pull off the sweat-dripping clothes. I do not see this as the best season unless you are serious about gardening and growing flowers, etc. Perhaps swimming. Sitting in the heat? Not for me. Snow time is beautiful and there is nothing like it. These months are a brief respite from the oppressive heat and never-ending labor managing 'the lawn' and the weeds. Mowing the lawn is no fun and working outside with the mosquitoes, flies and other bugs, also the risk of sunburn are also no fun. Snow is romantic and makes for beautiful postcards.

4. Too hot to do anything! How can one call summer the best season of the year when in many parts of the country people avoid going outside because of triple digit temperatures? The summer heat creates more problems than that, though; many people end up becoming sick or dying due to the heat, which causes dehydration and even heat stroke. I’m much more keen on the fresh beauty March brings.
