Introducing an interdisciplinary element into a curriculum encourages all involved to develop meaningful links among the fields in ways that intrigue and motivate both teacher and students. Interdisciplinary, often dubbed "the teaching of thinking," gives a purpose to study that goes far beyond the evaluation and memorization of information related to a topic. As a design element, it can push you and your students toward more powerful thinking and the ability to make comparisons that bridge disciplines, span eras, and encourage the application of knowledge." Interdisciplinarity can help bring students to a new awareness of the meaningful connections that exist among the disciplines. As far as Interdisciplinarity is considered, it is correct to say that, EXCEPT for:

Alternativa A:
The 1980s was a difficult decade for interdisciplinary learning. Extreme polarity existed between educators who supported discipline-field learning and those who favored interdisciplinary learning. Those who preferred traditional discipline-field learning viewed interdisciplinary curricula as a threat to the integrity of the disciplines.
Alternativa B:
The Interdisciplinary perspective is a new one and dates from de 1970s when there was a backlash against open classrooms. The focus of the educational community shifted away from standardized assessments to a more authentic, individualized type, which removed subjectivity from assessment to the greatest degree possible.
